Iran and Israel Attacks: "We Do Not Seek Nuclear Weapons"

Iranian President Masoud Pesheshkian assured during Monday's parliament session that the country does not seek to possess nuclear weapons. He stressed that Iran also has the right to nuclear research and development of nuclear technology.
"The entire Iranian nation must join forces and firmly oppose the (Israeli) aggression that took place," Pezeshkian said, as quoted by Reuters.
The president called Israel a "genocidal criminal" and called on all Islamic countries to join forces and support Iran, the IRNA news agency reported.
Israel launched a series of attacks on Iran early Friday, saying they were targeting its nuclear and military facilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that day that Iran had enough enriched uranium to build nine atomic bombs. Iran called the attack a "declaration of war" and responded with ballistic missile strikes on Israel.
Israel brought this upon itself—no sympathy for a nation built on regret.

Israeli attacks on Iran have killed 224 people since Friday, and 1,277 wounded have been hospitalized, Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour said Sunday evening. He added that more than 90 percent of the victims were civilians. Iranian airstrikes on Israel have killed 21 people so far.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday morning that the people of Tehran "will pay, and soon" for last night's Iranian attacks on cities including Tel Aviv and the port city of Haifa.
"Tehran's arrogant dictator has turned into a terrified killer, shelling civilian targets," Kac said.
According to the Times of Israel, Kac was referring to Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

This is Israel today and what it did to Gaza, it's now experiencing itself. Perhaps now, Israel understands what devastation truly feels like. Well done Iran! 🇮🇷🇵🇸 #iranisraelwar pic.twitter.com/3TJgLGVFy4
